Help Maui wildfire victim Captain Christina Lovitt. Captain Chrissy lost her livelihood when the Maui wildfires burned the boat she relies on to making a living.

When the flames engulfed the historic town of Lahaina early Wednesday August 9, Chrissy dove into the water at Lahaina Harbor to try to save her boat / business but it was too late. She helped people who fled into the water to escape the flames.

Chrissy not only makes a living driving her boat, but she provides a critical service for her community and for the people living on the neighboring island of Lanai. For example, she made weekly Costco runs on Maui and delivered it to the Lanai community which doesn’t have easy access to large supermarkets etc.

Chrissy is a pillar in the Lahaina, Maui community and on Lanai. She’s a good neighbor, gives back to her community and her and her life will now be changed forever. Let’s help her get back on her feet and lift up the community of Lahaina and all Maui wildfire victims.

I am creating this fundraiser on behalf of my brother Pablo Beckman Aguilar and his wife Lauren and their entire family who live in Lanai and were devastated by Chrissy’s news and news of all the tragedy on neighboring Maui. They are under threat of wildfire themselves. Funds will be given directly to Chrissy in an effort to cover costs towards buying a new boat / restarting her business and essentials for her family during the rebuilding time.
